『パサ・パサ』（痣の病因学）は、アートプロジェクトと科学的・衛生的調査の記録を通して変容する、翻訳についてのキュレートリアルな研究。フィリピン科学局が合衆国植民地時代初期のフィリピンで出版した科学雑誌や年間報告書に掲載された医学的レポートを一連のチャートへと翻訳し再構成したもの。「PASÁ PASÂ」（痣だらけ）と「PASÂ」（痣）の二部に分かれているこの展示は、テクスト、データ、写真を再組織し「再適用」することで、いかに科学的なるものと公共の利益なるものが協働して新たな管理のメカニズムを作り出すかを明らかにする。

PASÁ PASÂ (Etiologies of Bruising) is a curatorial study on translation in transition through artistic projects, archival materials on scientific and health inquiries. It comprises a series of reconstructed charts that translate the diagnostic reports of the Philippine Journal of Science and the Annual Reports of the Director of the Bureau of Science Philippine Islands published in the early years of American colonization in the Philippines. Divided into two, PASÁ PASÂ (Bruised all over) and PASÂ (Bruising), this exhibition reorganizes and “re-appropriates” texts, data and photographs to show how the collaboration between the scientific and the notion of public good reproduce new control mechanisms.

ライトニング・スタディーズ：CTCCCsはリレーショナルな翻訳を研究する架空の機関。設立者のレナン・ラル＝アンはフィリピン内で、あるいはフィリピンに関して手に入るナレッジのさまざまな場／面を横断しキュレートリアルな活動をしているリサーチャーで、第8回OK.Video – インドネシアメディア芸術フェスティバルを共同キュレーションしたほか、現在一時的にヴァルガス博物館／フィリピアナ・リサーチ・センターを拠点としているフィリピン・コンテンポラリー・アート・ネットワークの設立メンバーでもある。

Lightning Studies: CTCCCs is an imagined, virtual and fleeting institution for relational translation that was initiated by Renan Laru-an, a researcher working curatorially across available knowledge sites/scenes in and for the Philippines. He jointly curated the 8th OK.Video – Indonesia Media Arts Festival, and is a member of the founding team of the Philippine Contemporary Art Network, temporarily housed at the Vargas Museum and Filipiniana Research Center.
