マダガスカル生まれのGwen Ratokovaoによるソロ作品。彼女は作品において文化の多様性を探求する。『Esperanto』は文化的な規範や言葉が私たちを分断する時、どのように希望を持つのかを描きだしていく。『IN THE RAGE OF A WAVE』- この浮世では、私たちの関心を惹きつけるものに取るに足らないものはない。北斎の波から具現化された影、イメージの喚起、隠されたものをテーマにしたソロ作品は、北斎作品を巡る旅へと、そして同時に静止した静謐な時間へと誘う。

Esperanto is a solo choreographed by Gwen Rakotovao. Hailing from Madagascar, she approaches the diversity of cultures in her work. Esperanto illustrates how to hope when the words and the cultural codes keep dividing us. IN THE RANGE OF A WAVE is a solo choreographed by Rafael Alvarez. IN THE RANGE OF A WAVE - In this floating world nothing is too small or insignificant to hold our attention. This solo of shadows, evocations and masks whose Hokusai wave allows to embody is an invitation to travel and stand still at the same time, diving into a sea of discoveries and revelations swallowed by the megalopolis of Tokyo. A first initial single image generates the will for the creation of this solo, remaining invisible but present throughout the project - 'The Great Wave of Kanawaga', iconic work of Hokusai.

Gwen Rakotovao - ダンサー／振付家。ピアリッツ・インターナショナル・コンテンポラリーダンスで最優秀賞を受賞。パリ第8大学舞台芸術研究科学士号を持つ。Rafael Alvarez / BODYBUILDERS - ダンサー／振付家／衣装デザイナー／研究者／教師。過去20年以上、彼の作品は世界各地の様々な国で発表されている、EIRA所属アーティスト。BODYBUILDERS（リスボン）芸術監督。

Gwen Rakotovao is an international dancer and choreographer. She won the first prize at the 2012 Biarritz International Contemporary Dance Competition and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Performing Arts from the University Paris 8. Rafael Alvarez / BODYBUILDERS, choreographer and dancer, sets and costume designer, researcher and teacher. Over the past 20 years his contemporary dance and performance work has been presented all over the world. Associated artist of EIRA and artistic director of BODYBUILDERS (Lisbon, Portugal).
