「あなたのところで、最初の重要な女性の舞台芸術家は誰ですか？彼女は、いつ、どこで生まれ、何をし、どうして重要なのですか？」という質問を、TPAMを訪れる様々な地域の方々に投げかけ、採集した答えから地図年表を作成。メイン・ストリームの歴史からは埋もれがちな、アジアの近代舞台芸術分野で活躍した女性のパイオニア・アーティストを発掘するプロジェクトです。いまだ知らない女性たちの活躍から、これまで見えていたのとはまた異なる、各国の歴史・文化の側面が見えてくるかもしれません。

“Tell me about the first significant female theater artist in your place. What’s her name? When was she born? Where is she from? What did she do and why is she so important?” Asking these questions to TPAM visitors from various places in the world, we will compile a chronicle map of female pioneers in theater. The answers might let us see a new aspect of the performing arts history and each country.

亜女会Ajokai

アジア女性舞台芸術会議（亜女会）は、2012年に羊屋白玉（劇作家、演出家、俳優）と矢内原美邦（振付家、劇作家、演出家）の声がけで始まり、アジア諸国のアーティスト、プロデューサー、翻訳家、研究者など舞台芸術に関わるメンバーを中心に、さまざまな分野やセクターの人々を巻き込み、対話や交流を重ねながら、作品づくりやネットワークを行うコレクティブです。多種多様な民族・社会・言語・文化・歴史をもつアジアを訪ね、女性の声や、さまざまなものの声を拾い集め、世界を映し出す鏡である舞台芸術を手段として、発信しています。これまでの主な活動に「第一回アジア女性舞台芸術会議」（2015年7月、大地の芸術祭越後妻有アートトリエンナーレ）、国際共同制作『ファミリー』（2016年12月）、リーディング公演『悲劇のヒロイン』（2017年11月、下町芸術祭）など。

In 2012, Shirotama Hitsujiya (performer, playwright, director) and Mikuni Yanaihara (choreographer, dancer, playwright, director) launched the Asian Women Performing Arts Collective. The Asian Women Performing Arts Collective (or Ajokai) consists of artists, producers, translators, and scholars from various Asian countries. We gather together to understand women’s experiences in our different ethnicities, societies, languages, cultures, and histories. We hope to communicate these shared experiences through performances in various countries and languages. Recent works include The First Meeting of Asian Women Performing Arts Collective (July, 2015, The Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial), International Collaboration Family (December, 2016), Reading Performance Tragic Heroines (November, 2017).
