演劇という人間のための営みを通して、人間とモノ、それらを取り巻く環境とがフラットな関係で存在する世界を生み出すことはできるだろうか。 東日本大震災で大きな被害を受けた岩手県陸前高田市。岡田利規が津波被害を防ぐ高台の造成工事で驚異的な速度で人工的に作り変えつつあった風景を目撃したことから構想された「人間的尺度」を疑う作品は、彫刻の領域を拡張し続ける美術家・金氏徹平をコラボレーターに迎え『消しゴム山』として実現した。無数にモノの並ぶ空間で俳優はモノと新たな関係を構築し、それを目撃する観客もまた、世界を新たな目で見ることになる。 2019年10月の『消しゴム山』京都初演から1年。劇場からスタートした試みは美術館版『消しゴム森』、日常空間版『消しゴム畑』と、さまざまな空間へと展開してきた。再び劇場へと回帰した『消しゴム山』はどのような風景を描き出すのか。「消しゴム」シリーズの最新形。
Through theater, an activity for people, is it possible to bring forth a world in which human beings, things, and the environment surrounding them all exist in a flat relationship? About one year has passed since the first performance of Eraser Mountain, which debuted in Kyoto in October 2019. The project, which began with theaters, has since been expanded to include various other types of space such as "Eraser Forest"(Museum ver.), "Eraser Fields"(Living space ver.). Eraser Mountain has returned to the theater, and all are waiting to see what sort of landscape it will present. This is the latest edition in the Eraser series.
