Easternmost is a new orchestra based around world music, in which jazz, classical and traditional Korean music intermingle. The woodwind and strings play beautiful melodies, while the electric instruments give the orchestra’s sound a band-like feel. Layered on top, the traditional Korean singer’s timbre brings out the unique charm of world music. Being attuned to their listeners is important to them: for example, On Voyage (released last May) was recorded in a studio in front of a live audience.
