Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media (YCAM) has carried out “Reactor for Awareness in Motion (RAM)”, a research project for developing tool for dance creation and education, with Yoko Ando, a dancer from The Forsythe Company（dissolved in September 2015), a contemporary dance company and programmers from Japan and the US.

The performers are people who have limited or no access to visual information. By extending their bodily perception through sound and dance, it attempts to inspire reflection on human body and perceptions.(Duration 20 minutes).

⬛︎ SLOW LABEL 『SLOW MOVEMENT – The Eternal Symphony 1st mov.- in Yokohama』
This is a work of performance art with public participation, created through the collaboration of a diverse array of people, transcending the boundaries of age, nationality, occupation, and ability/disability.
A team of media art researchers and developers in the Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media [YCAM], provides technical support for the realization of installations and performing art pieces commissioned by YCAM. Along with research and practical attempts in implementing cutting-edge technology in the realm of art, the members engage actively in various collaborative research with specialists invited from all parts of the world, with the aim to establish human networks and facilitate exchange among the technical departments of cultural facilities, while continually expanding their area of investigation.
Embarked on a career as a dancer after meeting Kuniko Kisanuki in 1989, and has appeared in numerous dance performances since. She has been choreographing and performing her own solo pieces since 1997. In 2001 she was discovered by William Forsythe and joined the Ballet Frankfurt, in 2005 became a member of The Forsythe Company. Ando now enjoys a worldwide reputation as a leading dancer of the company. In Japan, she continues to work on her own projects while collaborating with other dance companies.

Masako Yasumoto (Dancer, Choreographer)
Masako Yasumoto is a dancer and choreographer. Having choreographed mainly for theater performances and films, she moved to Fukuoka after the performance “Zekkowaruko pon” in 2012. Since then, she has been involved in activities with local communities such as creating dance with companies, holding special class at elementary schools, and workshops with citizens. She is based in Kyoto since 2015.

Yuri Suzuki (Sound Artist)
Born in 1980. After 5 years of working as an assistant at Maywa Denki, he graduated from the Royal College of Art. He creates pieces exploring the theme of music and technology. Currently, he is active as a sound artist and product designer, and he has received worldwide renown for his device design with Disney Research and his projects with producer and DJ Jeff MILLS.
