Founded in 1996. HIWOOD manages several dancers and their company activities for ITOH Kim (Glorious Future), KURODA Ikuyo (BATIK), ONODERA Shuji (Company derashinera), ENDA Makoto (Makotocluv) and MORISHITA Maki etc. Since 2000, HIWOOD has coordinated the dance programs presented by major arts foundations in Japan: Asahi Beer Arts Foundation and Saison Foundation. It also produces “Toyota Choreography Award” launched in 2001 to discover talented choreographers, as well as dance showcase programs abroad in NY, Paris and Rome to expand the understanding of Japanese contemporary dance.

Based in Roma since 1985, mihoproject produces contemporary and traditional performing arts in Japan and overseas. Since 1987, mihoproject has represented Studio Azzurro in the Far East, and in 2003 co-produced their exhibition at the Mori Art Center with Hermes. Mihoproject’s art producer TAKECHI Miho also instigated the “Akira Shigeyama International Project” in 1992, with Kyogen actor SHIGEYAMA Akira of the Okura School.

Precog is a production company seeking to explore new frontiers in the fields of theatre and contemporary dance and to shape new contours of artistic expression through the body. Apart from producing groups and individuals such as Chelfitsch, Nibroll and Masako Yasumoto, we organize events like Azumabashi Dance Crossing. We are also dedicated to producing new talents and introducing these fresh Japanese expressions to the audience domestic and abroad. As we promote and stage works in diverse sites from conventional theatres, night clubs to museums, we encourage our artists to move across and beyond genres and media (TV, publication etc).

Canon Planning was established in 2002 to contribute to make culture better by producing the various forms of expression and the arts. With this goal in mind, Canon Planning produces the drama (“The Shakespeare series for children & adults” and “the Chekhov series”) and the Japanese traditional comic storytelling “Rakugo” with Rakugo master Kokontei-Shinsuke. As our performances in foreign countries, the Shakespeare company for children & adults played “A Midsummer Night's Dream” and “Cymbeline” in Seoul in 2007 and 2008.
